Delta Decisions and Sub-programmes
Katja Portegies
Delta Decisions Consultant Katja Portegies has been on the staff of the Delta Commissioner since January 2011. Her task is to direct the process of arriving at proposals for the five Delta Decisions in 2014, and to advise the Delta Commissioner in this regard. Within the staff, Katja is also the contact for the sub-programmes. She previously worked at the Directorate General for Water Affairs of the Ministry of Infrastructure & the Environment, where she was responsible for the IJsselmeer Region sub-programme; she was also project leader for the IJsselmeer Region policy memorandum.
Adriënne van der Sar
Adriënne van der Sar has been a member of the Delta Commissioner’s staff since 1 February 2010. Together with Katja Portegies, Adriënne directs the process involving the Delta Decisions, the proposals for which must be drawn up by 2014. She is also the contact for the sub-programmes within the staff. Previously, Ms Van der Sar was a member of the quartermaster’s team of the Delta Programme. She has also worked for the Directorate General for Water Affairs of the (former) Ministry of Transport, Public Works & Water Management and the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management. In addition, she was seconded to the European Commission to write the proposal for the Directive on the assessment and management of flood risks.
