Wadden Region
The Wadden region is one of the world's largest tidal areas of its type. It has been on the Unesco World Heritage List since 2009. The region stretches from Den Helder to Esbjerg in Denmark. Due to its special nature, the Wadden region is highly valued both at home and abroad.
The Wadden Region sub-programme is aimed at mapping out the developments in the Wadden area, including the development and implementation of the policies and measures that are needed as a result of climate change in order to guarantee the safety of the islands and coastal areas.
The Wadden Region sub-programme is the responsibility of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation.
